Embedded Software Engineer #1005

Who we are looking for

ElectReon is developing a unique cloud-based IoT system for charging vehicles wirelessly and on-the-go. As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will be developing complex firmware for our devices deployed on the roads and on the EVs.

The ideal candidate should be proactive, excited about technology, innovation and sustainability, be a true team player with a sense of ownership, and be able to handle frequent and complex technical challenges.

 

What you will do

You will be a member of our small but highly visible software team, developing software for our Electric Road cloud-based IoT solution:

  • Design, implement, and maintain real-time embedded firmware, mainly on ARM-based microcontrollers

  • Develop small verification software in Windows forms (C#)

  • Take full responsibility for various firmware projects

  • Participate in daily Agile & DevOps tasks

  • Work closely with our Hardware, Electronics & DSP Team

 

Requirements

  • B.Sc. in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering

  • Must be fluent with C\C++

  • 2+ years of experience with Embedded Software development on STM32 ARM SoC (or similar)

  • Must have knowledge of the following protocols: I2C, SPI, USB, TCP/IP, RS-485, UART

  • Understand OS internals (preferably FreeRTOS) and networking (LwIP)

  • Familiar with modern DevOps stack & standards (git, automation, CI/CD)

  • Fast learner and independent

   

Advantages

  • Background in electronics & DSP

  • Fluent in programming languages other than C\C++

  • Experience with multiple RTOS (Embedded Linux)

  • Some experience with Windows Form applications (GUI, C#)

  • Experience with FPGA programming and VHDL, preferably on Xilinx ARM-based SoC

  • Experience with the MQTT or AMQP protocols

What you will do

  • Conduct research and analyses of design proposals, specifications, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications

  • Design and optimization of mechanical components, assemblies, enclosures and electronic layouts

What you will do

  • Define Electronics and Electrical solutions for multidisciplinary systems and sub-modules

  • Analog board design and mixture signals, combined with sensing devices diversity, low noise applications and analog simulations

  • Participate in product specs. definition and design reviews, presenting electronics & electrical engineering point of view

 

Requirements

  • B.Sc. in electrical engineering from a leading university

  • 5 to 10 years of electrical engineering experience

  • In-depth practical knowledge and experience with analog circuits

  • Experience in automotive, industrial vehicles and electric vehicles - advantage

  • Hands-on experience with high-speed board design - simulation, schematics, layout, bring up and debug of multidisciplinary boards

  • Complex FPGA design and verification using VHDL from concept to production 

  • Must possess excellent skills in problem-solving, self-learning, presentation, and teamwork
